This little guesthouse sits all on its own at the side of the road overlooking the town and valley. The views are really outstanding, you get exactly what it says on the ....... side.
They only really speak Italian or German, with a spattering of English, but don't rely on this. The owner is a maturish lady, who is quite pleasant and certainly became friendlier as each day went by. She also runs there place on her own, with a little help from her granddaughter The facilities are a little basic, I had the single room, so I am unable to comment on the rest. There is a television, which receives Italian and German speaking channels, well what did you expect? The bed is comfortable, the shower works well and everything is spotlessly clean. My only gripe here is that there is not any facilities for coffee/tea making. There are not even any cupos or glasses, although I am sure they would be provided if requested. Anybody that has read my entry for Ortisei is probably also well aware of main complaint about this place. A little more imagination in the choice for breakfast would be nice. That said there are rolls, meat, cheese, jams, yoghurts and meusli daily. You probably all wonder what I am whining about then. There is a garage to put skis and other equipment in, and a decent amount of parking space. This is just as well as it is located a good walk from the town and towards the top of a hill, so a car is recommended. The bottom line is, I would stay here again! times in the accompanying photographs.
I hurriedly unpacked, had a shower and headed into the town
to explore and get something to eat. I
