Gap's Guest House Chiang Mai Reviews

This quaint little guest house located a down a small soi within the old city walls, and stones throw from all the action of Chiang Mai is a hidden gem brimming colonial charm and nostalgia.

The rooms are comfortable, seeming to hark from an age long since passed, and they all have air-conditioning and private bathroom facilities with a hot water shower unit. Linen and towels are changed on a daily basis, and a security locker is provided in the main office to store your valuables.

Also offered as an extra is a Thai vegetarian buffet, and this is a real treat at 80baht per person. This is some of the tastiest vegetarian fare I have had so far in Thailand by a long margin! The dining area is full of old colonial antique furniture and photographs, instilling a wonderful atmosphere. Also, the entire grounds are so leafy it's almost like a jungle.

At 350baht a night, you really can't go wrong - and in thi price is included cooked breakfast!

Just watch out for the man who watches the gardens/gate at night. He tends to fall asleep, and gets a bit grupy when you have to wake him up to let you in!

The location was good, and close enough to the nightlife to be convenient, but not a disturbance when you're trying to sleep. Also, there's a wonderful night street market that opens some evenings which is just a few streets away

Good. What about the location? Is nearby night life options?

I am... Mosquito-Man!
I am a walking blood bank for mosquitoes.  Seriously, it's beyond the freakin joke.  I have been bitten so many times, the mosquitoes have started biting the bites.  Word round the cam…guest house called Gaps Place, and this place is da bomb , as Tim Westwood would say.  It has a very old school colonial feel…
