Gambrinus is a great seafood restaurant located close to the boardwalk in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. You can sit inside or the outside patio, which is one of my favorite things about this place. The inside is split in two areas the main hall which has a little beer hall feel to it and a VIP room which is reserved for private parties. The waiters are wearing Russian Navy shirts which gives it just a little extra touch. They have an impressive list of German brew and other international beer brands (Sorry, my little Bavarian heart is jumping up and down)and the food menu has a lot of Russian seafood specialties and sushi. My husband says the craw fish is delicious and I love their Greek salad which is huge and a meal on its own. They also serve Borscht soup. The menu is in Russian and English language which is very helpful. The beer is served in big mugs almost reminds me of the Bavarian beer halls back home. After your meal you can take a stroll at the boardwalk or check out the New York Aquarium which is a short walk away. If you are getting here by subway you want to get out at the Ocean Parkway Station which is on the yellow line N or Q train.
