Galway City Hostel Reviews
Depends on how you travel Nov 18, 2011
I had considerable difficulty finding the place because I was driving (and poor GPS system got confused), and the city centre of Galway is awful to drive through. Parking is not cheap, either. Avoid driving into the city if you can. If you arrive by coach or train it would be brilliant.
What I didn't like, as I was sharing the room with males, was having to go downstairs, and through reception to other end of hostel in order to get to the one and only ladies in order to get changed/dressed, use toilet etc etc. The other negative was the small dining/common area, which wasn't comfy or helpful to meet others.
On the good side, it's not far to walk to go anywhere, and there's good shopping. But there's not a big list of things to see or do in Galway itself.
