Value for money in the Heart of Bangkok Nov 12, 2013
Stayed for 7 days and had fun !

This hotel is in the Sukhumvit area - Sukhumvit is the place to be in Bangkok. I believe "Soi" is street in Thai. So this hotel is in Sukhumvit Soi 10. Every cab counter in the Suvarnabhumi Airport(now its Dongmen) recognized this hotel and street instantly, catch is you have to show the show the hotel booking with the address written in Thai. Most cab drivers speak a broken form of English. I picked this hotel it was (Ramada Encore when I chose, just renamed). Its not cheap but value for price. Not very cheap like the Khao san road. But get it booked through Booking.com or lonelyplanet.com

Very close to public transport a.k.a BTS stations. Get out of Soi 10 and reach Sukhumvit main road. On your left in 5 mins walk is BTS station Nana and on your right side 5 mins walk is BTS station Asoke. 2 mins walk there is a 7x11 towards BTS Asoke. Siam paragon and Terminal 21 are 2 great malls near by.

All the Major shopping malls, MBK shopping centre, movie theatres everything is accessible through BTS trains.BedSupper club one of the word famous night club is in Soi 11, its like 5 mins by walk from this hotel.

Some of the reasons I picked this hotel.

Breakfast included (After a tiresome sightseeing i dont want to go out for breakfast the next morning)

Free wi-fi

24 x 7 - Kitchen and they serve yummy food

Tour and cab pickup at door step.

2 Restaurants one on the Roof top and another on the ground floor for Buffet.

Paid car parking (incase you are renting)

In room massage and they let masseuse from any other massage parlours.

All for 1840 TBH !

To get to the Chatuchak market or JJ market or Weekend market you have to take the BTS train all way till the last station and have to change line from there. Once you get down at the last station trust me you will figure out how to go to the market without getting overwhlemed. Its the best bargain place and you can get Jimmy Choo shoes for 600 TBH or Tag watches for 2500 TBH ;-) Ofcourse its a knockoff and it looks nice.

Watch out for their accent. If they say "fly ly" its fried rice. If they say "siam palagon" its siam paragon. If a cab driver asks you if you need "boom boom" he is pimping, stay clear. Tuktuk looks nice riding isn't as much as fun seeing it.

The temples or should I say "Wat" are pretty far incase you are interested.

The Bangkok floating market is far too its in the outer rim.

I will upload photos shortly ;-)
