Lovely little museum / gallery Oct 11, 1986
A tour of the museum / art gallery was well worthwhile - a children's art exhibition with some really good items, and an impressive, if small, permanent collection. A Ndaba family scene invoked strong associations of Stanley's Ndaba drawing back in Cape Town.

The museum was very nicely laid out, exhibits clear and informative, often spectacular. I was particularly impressed by the Kgori Bustard - at 20kg the heaviest flying bird.

A very good museum, I felt. Outside were enclosures with crocodiles - small, stoney, half-dead looking things; birds; magnificent tortoises.
A zebra in a zebra suit. Of course…
