GRU Sao Paulo-Guarulhos Reviews
Not bad Feb 19, 2009
I have been like 6 times here, It's not so bad but a lil bit old.
Right there I notice something. TIP for USA citizens -You know that US states customs is always annoying you (mean non US citizens) about stupid inmigration rules bla bla bla. Brazilians customs do the same, only to the US Citizens they have enormous safety measures: Take pic, finger tips... and spend a lot of time to allow each US citizen to enter to brazil. Well done!! ![]() ![]()

Airport in São Paulo - São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport Mar 28, 2008
I was there just 1 time and just for a layover. Maybe the most important thing to know about it would be for the American Citizens. As JC said in his review, the officers give then a hard time in exchange of the hard time they get when they are arriving to the USA, :P
This airport is big, but not so modern. At least until my last time there, there were still some things to be renewed. Also there's pending the construction of a 3rd passenger terminal. Some airlines opened direct flights to Rio, which will help to decongest this airport, almost always crowded. I haven't been here long enough to notice many things of this aiport. But things I remember are: -they have some shops, -if you want to smoke, you have to go outside where is incredibly hot! -going from one terminal to another is just walking distance -security here was stricter than anywhere else in South America. -be sure to have your Yellow Fever Certificate with your passport, they will ask for it while you are doing the check in and also at security so far this is all I remember... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
