…woods with nothing else, but it will if I'm stuck in the woods alone and I need to open a bottle of wine :) I switched hostels from Funny Farm to Balmers today and I'm glad I did. This place has a kitchen and has a much better atmosphere. I cooked my own supper (such a treat) and watched the Italy vs. Netherlands soccer game with a bunch of fun people… I have a fever and the only perscription is more cowbell!

We were staying at the Funny Farm Hostel which was basically an old barn house with some bunk beds put in but whatever it was cheap and a happening place for the teens and 20's. We first went to Beatusholden Caves. It was neat and cold but I wouldn… Interlaken, Switzerland - Day 1

basically there's two hostels, balmer's and funny farm, and they have a monopoly over the town it seems - they both own their own adventure sport companies and offer their services through the hostel as well - convienently at the same price. balmer's offers free foosball, pingpong, pool, darts, and a slew… Interlaken

next stop was the funny farm, also popular, in the same area, swiss speaking even but unfortunately booked out as well... being in that area for 10 minutes i already was sick of those young tourists telling everyone about their adventures paragliding, etc.... so we couldn't be bothered… swiss national holiday - mini-tripping around interlaken
