Hi there!
Hopefully this will help you out to enjoy Montreal during the short laps of time you will be there.
There is some nice shopping to do on Ste-Catherine street, Mont-Royal street, St-Denis street.
For a nice view of Montreal,there is the Mont-Royal, the Olympic stadium and the Delta which is a rotating restaurant that gives you a great panoramic view of the city.
The old port is also nice and has a few fun activities especially during the summer time. Not to mention all the fun festivals: Jazz, Just for laugh, francopholies etc.. but these mostly take place from July to mid- August.
If you are looking for a few thrills you must go to La Ronde (six flags) to try out a few of their rides. The Goliath (rollercoster) is something els!
For great nightlife, you must go on Crescent street for a few drinks also the 737 bar located on the top of Ville -Marie building offers a great view of montreal.
For a good Italian coffee (if you get nostalgic) you must go to the little Italy (St-Laurent street between Jean-Talon and Beaubien).

I could be me, passionate, adventurous, on-the-go, quirky, fun. It was fabulously liberating. The first week of my trip was CRAZY as I was jumping from one place to another and going all out. …some good place for tommorrow morning so after the old port ,we choose to go to the jazz festival so nice me and eric make some fun there we debras and and madeline ,gloria and val,good show of jazz music and much pleasure on the spot!!!!!!!!!!Now it time to meet matt and ruthie and nancy at the restaurant (the time caffe on st-laurent ) the foos was nice and time… meet up of montreal 2008

Biodome is fun to go to but it was definitely expensive. The botanical gardens are well worth the money though! The next day we headed north of the city about an hour to a small regional park. It had some amazing waterfalls and tons of hiking trails… french land

If you are statying in the a chain of fun brunch places. Great atmosphere, fun patio, extensive menu (I wanted to order about 20 items). Old Montreal - Nice to walk and check out the buildings - plenty of cobble stone roads, old churches, neat architecture, and museums. Plentiful art galleries, some trendy restaurants for dinner… Montreal
