Don't make important plans...you might not leave! May 30, 2013
I came here on a backpacking trip for the first time almost 4 years ago with the intention of relaxing & planning 2 more months travelling...it didnt work out that way! Fulir became my home for those 2 months & i came back to visit every year since. Zagreb is now my home since April 2012 but it has felt like it since the evening i checked in to Fulir back in 2009.

Literally 2 minutes from the main square, but situated in a quiet courtyard which used to belong to Croatian historical political hero Ban Josip Jecacic. Everything is within walking distance of the hostel...or you can rent a bicycle at reception if walking is not your thing!

Staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Kitchen & common room have everything you might need. Beds are comfortable & they have big backpack sized lockers. I really cannot fault this place for anything! You can chill or party...staff are relaxed, friendly & knowledgeable & ready to help you make what you will of your Zagreb experience. They also run a Plitvice Lakes daytrip which is great for when the public buses are full & crowded during the summer :)

Worth a visit! Apr 08, 2012
Fulir Hostel is a really cool hostel in the heart of Zagreb, it is located just off the main square. The staff are awesome, especially Sandra, really cool chick and is up for a laugh, so many people have gone out at night with her partying. The hostel itself is great, a few bedrooms, two computers with internet access, wifi, a common area with a flat screen t.v. and loads of dvds, a kitchen with cooking facilities, a few bathrooms and yeah basically everything you need from a hostel.

Homely Feel from Fulir Hostel Zagreb Jun 05, 2011
12 Euros per night.

Taking the tram from the train station, you cannot miss your stop. Trg Bana Jelačića is basically the city centre of Zagreb, and it is bustling with activity. Where is Fulir Hostel in all this hustle and bustle? No more than 50m from the action and the Cathedral.

The staff were awesome and really made me feel right at home. They provided local information letting me know of a Europa League football match taking place the night of my arrival, and provided advice on getting around.

The room was cosy, and the lockers were present for keeping of belongings. My gripe would be that there weren’t many power points to charge phones etc, but you could always use the ones in the common areas.

I enjoyed my stay at Fulir Hostel and urge you to check it out.

High On Quality, Low On Cost May 18, 2010
I loved my time at the Fulir Hostel in Zagreb, it's definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. This is partly down to the two guys that run the hostel, who were great hosts. Firstly, they only had one bed left when we arrived but were keen to help us out and so made arrangements to get me a mattress for one night, which they charged at half price. Suitably impressed so far.

We visited the hostel during the 2006 World Cup finals, and our hosts took everyone at the hostel out for the evening, to watch the Croatia Vs Brazil game. They gave us a proper Croatian night out and everyone appreciated their participation.

As for the hostel, it was really clean and well laid out. There were plenty of bunk beds upstairs and plenty of other travellers occupying them, so we met up with plenty of like-minded travellers. I'd recommend the Fulir Hostel for people looking to have a few drinks and some fun with backpackers. In saying that though, it wasn't particularly rowdy and we never had any problem with noise.

So, all in all, the price, cleanliness and location of this hostel are stellar. Couple this with the fact that the owners were top notch and you've got yourself a really good hostel. I'd go back to Zagreb just to stay here again!

Great staff Feb 23, 2009
Fulir was a blast. It is/was mainly run by two guys who were just friends and decided to open up a hostel to meet people and have a good time. I only stayed a night because they were booked the next two nights I was there but both nights I went over and after the desk closed me and the guys that owned the hostel went out to different local clubs/bars and had a blast. Good price, had a bunch of DVD's to watch, weights, (room only open certain hours), and was pretty clean. Not too far from the train station and the location is down the block from the middle of the city
