Craig, Colorado, USA -› Gunnison, Colorado, USA -› ...
Most towns have 24 hour City Markets or Safeways... Not Fruita. No, they don't even have a 24 hour gas station in town, they all close at 10:00 pm. The only one they have is by hotel row on I-70. Also, their high school has a weird entrance... you can only get to it from one direction and out from the same direction. Also, the temperature was extreamly warm. Moab, Utah, USA -› Fruita, Colorado, USA -› ...
Today's rides brought us to the Bookcliffs, a long mountain ridge on the north side of Fruita. The riding here was surprisingly different than the mountains to the south. Whereas the southern mountains were very rocky, the Bookcliffs area is best described as huge mounds of dirt on a huge uplifting plateau. Within a relatively small area, the local riders have used the natural terrain to construct what is best described as a huge mountain biking park. These trails were laid out with such skil...
