Frontier Guards Memorial May 10, 2017
There is a new memorial in Alexeyev Block behind Dzerzhinsky monument. The memorial stands in Frontier Guards' Park.

It was dedicated in 2011, and is devoted to the frontier guards who fell in the line on duty.

The golden monument represent a frontier guard while on duty and his service dog near the barbed wire wall.

The inscription on the wall of the monument reads, “Eternal glory to the frontier guards who perished in the line of duty”.

There are several black marble memorial plaques with the names of the fallen frontier guards.

The square around and behind Dzerzhinsky monument in Alexeyev Block has always been a meeting place of the former frontier guards on their festival: Frontier Guards’ Day that has been observed on May 28 since Soviet times.
