French-Vietnamese Cuisine
French-Vietnamese Cuisine Reviews

If you're going to Hoi An, and you plan to eat anything at all, you have to start with Tam Tam Cafe and then work your way around from there! It's probably the most modern restaurant in Hoi An, and serves an interesting array of foods, both Vietnamese and Western. A lot of people will suggest that you visit Tam Tam if in Vietnam, but the reason I suggest it isn't their food, excellent cocktails and great balcony views; it's because across the road from Tam Tam is an even better little cafe (I forget its name). It's kind of a boulangerie, and has some really nice little French tarts and pastries, as well as beautiful iced coffee (it's hard to source a good coffee anywhere in Vietnam really). If that isn't your style, just around the corner from the French cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant situated along the side of the river, which sells decently priced, classic Vietnamese-style food. This was the first place we went when we arrived in Hoi An, and we had some really nice seafood-based dishes there, as well as some awesomely refreshing banana smoothies!
Tam Tam Cafe is at 110 Nguyen Thai Hoc St, and if you can find it and continue on your culinary journey from there, you won't be disappointed. |
