Frank (Frankyfurter) joined recently and had one of the nicest profile pics I’ve seen, but it needed just a touch of color change and back lighting to bring out Frank’s face. The lighting change brought out the colors of the sunset and I refilled his bottle a little too! :D
I do…

We were up at 7:30 and I promptly watched the drain go down clockwise! Being an engineer, the fact that I hadn't done it the moment I walked in the room is an indication of how tired I was! (Hopefully, everyone knows it is NOT a myth that, left to their own devices, drains rotate clockwise in…

This must be the shortest flight in the world. Between take off and landing at Moorea takes just 7 minutes. There's no room for an in fligth attendant since we flew with a twin otter who operates 40 times daily between Tahiti and Moorea or vice-versa.Our first imp…

Our plane was to leave Tahiti for Auckland at 7:50am, so I set the alarm for 5am. I used my travel alarm, my watch alarm, the hotel radio alarm and the wake up call system -- just to be sure that we did not oversleep. Neither the hotel alarm or the hotel wake up call system worked,…

a map and some photos of my slightly unplanned trip around the world. The map outlines the general route I took, not counting the backtracking and double visits.
Currently I am scanning some photos of this trip, but be patient, there are a lot of them!

Spent week on the island of Moorea in 2004. My sister works for the company that owns the hotel so it was a great luxury trip that I never could have afforded otherwise. Lot of lounging by the pool and in our overwater bungalow, not usually my style but I got used to it very quickly ; )
