It's always been a dream destination of mine...to see Tahiti. Her beautiful Islands lived up to the gorgeous brochures we have all seen and drooled over. But, the sparkling jewel was defintely....Bora Bora. The beauty of this island took my breath away!

Very Special Tahiti

Tahiti hold a special place in my life as it is where me and my girlfriend went on our "3rd" date. It was also our first cruise as a couple. We went back the for Christmas and New Year cruises on the Tahitian Princess. Tahiti is Very expensive. The best way is to take a Princess Cruise. As dinner buffets at the hotels can cost $70 the cruise is Much cheaper. you also get to see all the Islands.

Ok, so we are heading out on a CARGO SHIP to Bora Bora here in a few hours. We leave at 4 pm and arrive at 8 am. So, on a cargo ship.. where do you sleep.. On the deck of course because ONLY the cargo goes FIRST CLASS.. We are more like the parasite that is attached to the cargo. We need the cargo to travel so we can too. Will get caught up on Easter Island and Tahiti when we can! Few thoughts.. The girls really do just walk around with flowers in their hair on a normal day. The side-of-the...

Welcome to Paradise -- Tahiti

Our plane was to leave Tahiti for Auckland at 7:50am, so I set the alarm for 5am.  I used my travel alarm, my watch alarm, the hotel radio alarm and the wake up call system -- just to be sure that we did not oversleep.  Neither the hotel alarm or the hotel wake up call system worked, so I was glad I had back ups!!  We slept pretty well, except that Dad woke me up several times during the night as he ran into walls and door on his way to the bathroom.  Don't you just h...

Spent week on the island of Moorea in 2004. My sister works for the company that owns the hotel so it was a great luxury trip that I never could have afforded otherwise. Lot of lounging by the pool and in our overwater bungalow, not usually my style but I got used to it very quickly ; )

I am a very smart traveler, and I share my travel secrets. I have had a knack for saving huge $'s and staying at the nicest hotels and resorts for pennies on the dollar. The purpose of this blog is to educate others how to travel like insiders and professionals. Also, I have set up travel clubs all over the US, and if you'd like to go visit one, just ask!
