Fremont Experience - An Inexpensive Night Out in Vegas Jan 23, 2009
Beginning at 6pm each night on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, as show like no other begins. More than five football fields long, a canopy covering the street lights up and presents a visual show like no other combined with music and best of all - it is free. On the hour, each hour begins a new show, no shows repeat through the night. At Nathans Famous Hot Dogs in the Mermaids casino, you can buy fried Twinkies and/or fried Oreos. You can also get great deals on some really good food at the downtown casinos by presenting a players card from their casino. In addition to the Viva Vision, there are center stage shows mostly on weekends.
Go get an inexpensive meal, fried Twinkies and/or Oreos for dessert and take in a couple viewings of the Viva Vision and Center Stage Shows for a fun night! Issues are parking and the too common request spare change, But neither are excuses not to go enjoy a fun free to inexpensive night out!! Also the casinos will be glad for you to spen a little time playing their games of chance in the original casinos of Vegas! But keep in mind - Vegas wasn't built for winners! hehe Part of the Hometown Tourist travel blog |

…me. I am used to friends wanting a Friday night "OUT", but since they do not smoke, drink, gamble or party, I felt I one choice - Fremont Experience. The Fremont experience ended up fitting the bill perfectly! I used my Bioins Players Club card and got a really good discounted Prime Rib meal. What better for dessert than fried Twinkies and fried Oreos. This was actually my first… Night Out with the Relatives! |

…Unfortunately, you won't get a picture like in the movies because the city constructed a mile-long archway that functions as a TV, called the Fremont Experience. Fortunately , the hourly shows they have are pretty cool. Imagine watching a tribute to Queen with a piano keyboard stretching half a mile in either direction. Tremont is a lively area, and it's a must see for everyone. And if you get there… A Uniquely Borrowed Culture |

We walked up and down Fremont street, saw the Fremont Street Experience twice, which was really cool! The first show had the song American Pie..was really cool. John bought us some giant football drinks, that were really yummy..but also made me feel sick later. Very sugary. We also gambled a couple bucks… i feel the adrenaline movin through my veins, spotlight on me and im ready to break |
