Schweinfurt, Germany -› -› …
Most of us spend a good deal of time planning, saving and dreaming about traveling to distant lands. Seeing wonderful places, meeting interesting people and taking pictures to share with friends. Sometimes we forget how beautiful our own city is and how blessed we are to live in our own little city. This is why I decided to write this blog and post pics so I would not forget how beautiful my "home sweet home" really is. Enjoy and come visit.

Passau was also one of the places we passed to avoid the expressway. We expected a very simple place, but we were wrong. Passau has a lot of beautiful places. This is also where the St. Stephan's Church was located which houses the biggest organ in the world. I have seen the St. Stephan's in Vienna but this one in Passau is also one beautiful church worth mentioning. Not only for the church, Passau is worth visiting. Not to mention, the going up the castle there is a test for my legs!

So, the plan was to fly into Germany a day before the festival began so I'd have a day to relax and my little girl would have a day to fight off the jet lag and get used to her new surroundings. But, being that my daughter could run circles around that damned energizer bunny, she was having t…

Traunreut is a municipality in southeastern Bavaria, 35km west of Salzburg, but we had no chance to see this town 'cause we spend whole day in Bosch-Siemens Hausgerate factory of cookers and listening the seminars, so on this photos you'll see some old cookers from museum and hope will be interesti…

We moved to Schweinfurt in Oct 2008 and we love it here for a number of reasons. It does get cold here in the winter and for most of our stay it has been cold, brown, cloudy and windy. Now spring is breaking out and life is bursting out all over. Here are some shots from spring in Germany.

I left this afternoon with my friend John, who goes to the University of Dayton but is studying abroad with the Georgia Tech program. So it's not technically accurate to list these castles under Füssen, but the castles are close by so it works out.
I jumped on the train early in the morning (love having a Global Eurail pass) and headed down to Füssen, which is pretty much on the southern border of Germany. It was about 2…
