The Journey begins!

Freetown, Sierra Leone

After a sleepless night and a disrupted journey from Battle to Heathrow I was finally embarking on my first trip to Sierra Leone. Heathrow was in chaos after over a hundred flight cancellations due to bad weather the previous day. A further two hours sitting in the plane on the tarmac was a little frustrating, however the airline staff kept me amused! The journey was smooth with mostof the occupants of the half full aircraft disembarking at Dakar, Senegal.
