It is Sunday today but here at the Intercity Airport Hotel near the Franfurt airport, it looks like any other business day. We are waiting for the airport shuttle to take us to the airport after having an excellent breakfast. The highlight for me was that they had two automatic espresso machines that also made latte. We returned from Rüdesheim and had to spend most of the little time we had left in Frankfurt on getting ready to leave tonight. Our bags were mostly already packed, except for the things we had taken on our day trip. After getting everything ready, we had another dinner with my parents, brother and grandmother before saying goodbye and leaving for the airport. A short glimpse in my stay at Frankfurt, Germany

This is a write up and continuation of my travels throughout Europe during the Summer of 2007. It'll also document my travels in North America during the Autumn and Winter of 2007 aswell.

General business travel....Spain, Germany, Belgium, France.

Well, after 19 hours flying, little sleep and a few movies later we are here. Had a quick stopover in Dubai where, due to Annas grandparents kindly letting us use their frequent flier points, we were upgraded to business on the Dubai-Frankfurt leg and subsequently could utilise the cool business class lounge! Germany today. In the financial capital Frankfurt. Sure, usually people don't visit Frankfurt - in fact only a dozen people had luggage to pick up, the rest were flying through or had business suits and a carry-on brief case. But I love being in Germany. I love the old bare trees just about to bloom with spring, the pigeons and sparrows being indigenous, little girls running around with thick coats on. On the way back from Dusseldorf, stopped shortly to see the Dom in Koeln, and meet up with a friend in Frankfurt.

My parents lived in Germany for a while and I had to take advantage of the access that they would give me. It was a busy year. I went about 5 times that year.

My trip to Germany

Great travel, great people. Had the opportunity to spend 10 days in Germany and travel between Frankfurt and Berlin while experiencing most of the Hessen region. Out of all my experiences during this trip, the German people were the best part of it! I cannot say enough positive comments about Germany, the Hessen region, JCI Germany and all its people.
