Frakfurt's a very beautiful and interesting city. A blend of German tradition and history and modern day industry. Towering above the old town plaza and cathedrals are sleek skyscrapers. Some of the tallest in Europe. To my surprise and dismay, Oktoberfest, which was in its last few days at the time, is not celebrated in Frankfurt, or much of anywhere outside of Bavaria. To travel is great!!

Last night we pulled into Frankfurt, and after dropping our stuff off at the hotel we went down to the fan zones in the downtown area.  The games were over, but the crowds were still there, eating all kinds of ethnic food, bumping and grinding to 'ouse musik, and drinking a ton.  It was a serious party on both sides of the river, and made me wish I had been there to see a game. This morning I got up and packed up all my stuff back into the backpack and took a taxi to the airport. I again flew Luxair which was nice, upon arriving at Frankfurt I had to walk what seemed like forever to get my bags. I honestly didn’t expect it to be so big.
