The joy of leaving India behind us was matched by the joy of arriving in Germany. The difference in our mood was immediate. With a day to spare whilst the final preparations for the wedding were undertaken I decided to take Pat into Frankfurt itself so that she could see where Rebecca actually lives. Frankfurt am Main is not only the economic heart of Germany, in fact it could well be the banking center of Europe. This was my first time going all alone to a foreign country, and as this was even for 5 weeks and for an internship, I was excited, nervous and everything else one can imagine for days. I was checking at least every 10 minutes, whether I had my ID and other important stuff with me.
