We had just moved from Virginia to Stuttgart, Germany the last week of August 2008, when Jenny and I went to our first-ever TravBuddy Meet-up at the “Museumsuferfest” – Museum Embankment Festival in Frankfurt, Germany spearheaded by Bettina (Dahling). We also crashed a wedding party one night and visited a few of our friends in downtown Frankfurt which is where we met in December 1993. It was a difficult trip for us due to the jetlag but we had a great time meeting other TravBuddies!

I've been in Puerto de la Cruz, Teneriffe, Spain from october 24th to 31st. We enjoyed it a lot because the weather was great,the people are unbelievable nice and the landscape is just stunning.

We touched down after a pretty nice flight. We both had gotten some shuteye so as not to be frazzled when we arrived. We didn't waste anytime in the airport. We made our way down to the train station and hopped a train to Munich! We had our Eurail passes and I was glad of it. I like traveling by train. Having done the same a decade before, I knew it was an almost seemless way to travel.

I went to visit a friend in Frankfurt for 3 weeks.

This was my first trip abroad for a week during December 2006. It was the best trip I've had to date.

Just random stuff from a great time

I've already introduced Frankfurt City Forest but the quality of it changes completely with the seasons so I decided to also do this separate winter section.The lake sometimes freezes over completely and that is where the real fun is in winter. Everyone seems to instantly transform into children who just have to play! People often walk across the lake, have snowballs fights on it, ice skate or play ice hockey! You can also reach the small islands in the middle that you can't get on otherwise.…

2 Weeks by train through Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich - a side trip to Salzberg, and Cologne.
