Frankfurt am Main is a major city in Germany and one of the leading commercial banking centers in all of Europe. Frankfurt boasts the largest airport on the continent and a skyline filled with some of the tallest buildings in Europe. Frankfurt is a modern and festive city with numerous restaurants, parks, museums and cultural activities. Although most of the city was leveled during World War II, some of the older parts of the city still remain in-tact with half-timber houses and the old Dome cathedral. Rumor of history indicates the Romans first settled the area circa 660 A.D.

Frankfurt has two major rivers nearby, the Main and the Rhein, and is located near the mountain spa area of Taunus. Frankfurt has a modern local transportation network and easily connects by rail, road and air to most major cities in Europe as an international hub. Most visitors to Europe, especially Germany, travel through Frankfurt's huge airport which has an ICE (Inter-Contienetal Express) high-speed train station co-located at the Frankfurter Flughafen.
