Francistown, located in the North East District, is Botswana's second largest city with a population of just over 100,000. Due to its central location between Gaborone, Zimbabwe, and the spectacular parks in the North, Francistown is an important stopping point for many travelers in the area. Along the rail corridor, one can reach Lobatse, Botswana to the South and Harare, Zimbabwe to the North. In addition, buses can also be taken from the central bus terminal to Zimbabwe and many other points within Botswana.
