Everyone always comments on how great French food is and our
trip to ‘gay Paris’ has been no exception. With multiple creperies along the way
we couldn’t resist and I indulged in a Nutella-banana crepe whilst Marcus went
for the strawberry jam. Given that
breakfast consisted of a croissant au chocolat, it probably wasn’t a bad idea
to branch out… a little. Ordering has been a little challenging at
times due to the fact that neither of us actually speak …

Together with my good friend Ilse, who I already know since I was 12, I went to Bordeaux for a week. To have some holiday, but also to explore the city before I move there.
Bordeaux doesn't seem to have a good reputation in Holland, but it is actually a really nice city! The centre is really old with lots of ancient buildings, churches, and of course wine houses. Of course Bordeaux has good and bad parts (close to the station is one of the worse neighbourhoods), but overall the centre seems …

I've been traveling to Europe for 10+ years. The first 4 of these trips I served as a sponsor to a group of high school students. This is trip #1.

In a perfect world with no flight cancellations or delays, and where someone could hop from plane to plane within 15 minutes, how many countries can a person visit in the shortest possible time? Here's one possibility using July 2006 timetables.

Paris, it is must be the highlight of my trip. We had a tour of Paris from the bus when we got in and I saw lots of landmarks and Stu the bus driver took us around the arc de triumph rounderbout and i thought the bus would tip! Then Richie took us up the Eiffel Tower. it was so spectaular, the views were just amazing! And the night show was stunning. I walked down the tower which killed my legs! We went back to the hotel after that on the metro. the next moring we went to a perfume production…

Samoens: France.
I lived and worked here for about a year, using this beautiful little mountain town as my base for European adventures. As it turned out, some of the best times and some of the hardest experiences of my life were to be had in this sleepy village and the surrounding mountains :)
I will miss Samoens and the people I have met here!

This was my first trip to Europe and it was great. I started out in London and then went to the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France. Each country was amazing, from the canals in Italy to the Moulin Rouge in Paris. The people were great and the food was even better, although they do serve some unique sausage in Germany. I found the churches in Austria to be some of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. They had pink and white marble and there was attention to detail.
