I decided that I was going to do something huge for my 21st birthday and since the opportunity came up to go to Europe, I took it. Some people thought I was nuts for going by myself but I have no regrets as it was the greatest birthday/trip anyone could ask for!

From the little I saw, it was a city worth exploring, unfortunately I did not have the time for it.

Once the playground and favorite residence of the French kings, princes, dukes and nobles the glorious Loire Valley is a dream destination where every brick is breathing with history. With its magnificent Chateuax, beautiful landscape, delicious food and wine it is a true paradise for those who really enjoy life!

When we took Eurostar, it will make a stop at Lille. Out of curiousity, we planned a daytrip on train and like to find out more about this city which is situated on the Deûle River, near France's border with Belgium.
