Le Circus is a must go when you spend some time in Montpellier.
Its a nice bar right in the city center. They have Billiard tables and good music.
The atmosphere is great and the decoration fits the name ;)

If you like some expensive entertainment, the Lido on the Champs Elysées is a good choice. I went to the show Bonheur, which is still playing. I guess you can compare it with the Moulin Rouge, but it's better actually.
I've been to both and the Lido is more glamourous and there are more dancers...

Nice place to have few beers. One of the cheapest place for beer, cocktails are more expensive. Prise are increasing after 12h30am. It is the only bar to open until 3 am in the center of Annecy. A lot of people on friday and saturday evening. Football event (French ones) on big screens.
