Downtown Willemstad is kind of a "must" if you go to the island. It's a very concentrated area of shops and restaurants. It's a neat place to spend an afternoon, shopping and having some lunch. It's can get crowded. I would probably avoid th…

Just outside of Atlanta, GA, sits Stone Mountain. This is a neat place to visit if you're in the area. You can hike up to the top of the mountain, or you can pay to ride the sky lift to the top (you have the same options for getting down the mountain as well). If you have a fear of heights, this may be scary for you, but trust me, it is doable! There are fences all around the top of the mountain, so don't worry about falling off. The game is so large that it is played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The night before the game, Friday, everyone heads to the West End in downtown Dallas to party and support their team. There are so many people, it can be hard to…

If you're on the island, I recommend taking a tour of the Hato Caves, which are by the airport. This is incredibly cheap (I think it was about $6USD a person). A tour guide, which speaks 3 or 4 languages, takes you on an hour long tour of the caves, explaining the geology and history of them. It was very informative and our tour guide was a delight (there is a tip jar near the entrance to the cave...please consider leaving something for your tour guide). There are a few places in the cave…
