Fabulous Fox! Jan 04, 2010
Fox Theatre is a magnificent venue to experience Broadway productions in St. Louis. The Theatre also hosts concerts, comics, and other theatrical events. The Theatre opened in 1929, as a movie house, in the era of silent films. But, in 1978, the Theatre closed. It was in 1982, that the Fox reopened after restoration efforts completely renovated the Theatre.

The architecture of the Fox is described as 'Siamese Byzantine', with ornate columns, and decor.

I have seen two Broadway musicals here (the Lion King in October 2004, and Chicago in January 2010), and I plan to see many more. I love that I can have an 'evening at the theatre', getting all dressed up and experiencing Broadway fairly close to home.
