Four Pillars Hotel Abingdon (England) Reviews
Four Pillars Hotel, Abingdon, UK Jun 26, 2011
The location of the hotel, being one or two minute off the A34 at Abingdon, is excellent. There is a petrol station next door as well as shopping centre. After all this is a good location for a good hotel and good for business (industrial area) or personal travellers.
I stayed here for six nights during my training in Abingdon area. The room was very nice and a decent size. The bed is a decent size and comfy. The television has a good range of channels but not able to enjoy. There is free internet at lobby which was good and you can purchase for a day use service as well and which cost about 5 Sterling Pounds. There is a kettle etc. However, the room had very creaky floorboards. So if you are walk around in your room at night, you need to consider someone who is sleeping at lower floor. If not, you will wake him up or you will have a reminder from receptionist.
The bathroom was a reasonable size and very powerful shower. So you have to care about temperature when you took shower, if not you will get burnt.
The first night we have dinner at hotel and serving was good. Chilli sauce is not available at hotel’s kitchen. So next day evening, we went to the supermarket and purchase chilli sauce and bring for dinner. After we finished dinner, we forget to bring back the chilli sauce bottle and left there. What a lovely thing is waiter keep the bottle for us and whenever we have or lunch, they have taken out from fridge and given back us again. Due to this action, I have to give tip to them whenever we dine there except we dined one night out in town area.
Looking forward to stay back again in near future.
