The Four Friends is a cozy café in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. It is exotic, yet quaint. Inside, they feature local artists' work on the walls. Ambient music plays featuring artists like Regina Spektor and Keane. They offer discounts to Calvin College students, as well as other students in the Grand Rapids area. They offer Gelato,Pastries, and a wide variety of drinks. They serve everything from Chaikes (chai tea shakes) to Italian Sodas..even flavored steamers. I have found Four Friends to be a great retreat from the chaos of dorm life. It is a place to relax and draw, do homework, or just catch up with friends.
Even its very location is attractive. The Four Friends is surrounded by boutiques and even an outdoor ice skating rink. They also have live music from time to time, usually on weekends.
