It was getting late and I wanted to visit Four Corners Monument before sunset. I stopped briefly in Kayenta, AZ for food and fuel and continued on my way.In Arizona, they have port of entrys on all their highways for trucks to be weighed. They slow the traffic down to 35 mph, even on 4 lanes. There was one near the New Mexico border as I was getting close to Four Corners. Literally in the middle of nowhere, Four Corners Monument is really just a point of interest along the road. Surrounded by Navajo traders selling their wares from boothes (some nice stuff, by the way), sits a brass disc layed by the U.S. Geological Survey Team. Itself, surrounded by concrete, more brass and flags. Don't know why I expected more, but I did. It allowed for a photo op and chance to stretch our legs if nothing else. Here are some of the states I visisted: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah. I saw so many incredible places, such as LA, San Francisco, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Meteor Crater, Mount Rushmore, DisneyLand. USA has so much to offer, I can't wait to explore more. If u decide u want to travel for a month or more, USA is the place to go!!
