There is no better drink than water Mar 13, 2015
There is no better refreshment in Dubrovnik from their drinking water direct from fountains in the Old Town. Dubrovnik water supply comes from the spring in Ĺ umet.

Once a foreign tourist saw me drinking it from a very nice fountain in Brsalje Street and asked me if it was safe to drink. For a moment I was surprised, as I would have never asked somebody such a question, but then I remembered that in many countries in the world they drank bottled water. So I showed him again how I enjoyed drinking it.

Inside the city walls there are two fountains built in the 15th century by the architect and builder Onofrio della Cava, now known as the Big Onofrio's fountain on Poljana and the Small Onofrio's fountain under the Bell tower.

The Big Onofrio's Fountain is a sixteen-sided container with a cupola. On each side is a stone-carved masked face with a faucet projecting out of the each mouth.

There is also a fountain in the atrium of the Rector's Palace.
