Despite us commenting beforehand that a two-day hike in the solitary confines of Wilsons Promontory National Park, sandwiched between stays in busy Melbourne and Sydney, would be a spot of light relief, it was in fact going to turn out to be one of the most stressful, and perhaps our biggest, adventure yet.We had spoken to the park beforehand to arrange a night's stay in the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottages, halfway on our two-day trip. hooray, a lay in! can you believe i think 7am is a lay in! organic porridge and pancakes for breakfast! we only had an hours drive to the buchan caves. just as well we were going underground as it was drizzly. the caves were amazing. i know i keep using that word but ive just been bowled over but the fantastic scenery ive seen, and ive only been here 2 weeks. it was quite scary at first going down into the caves but once you see what is down there u forget it. and yes, i did take about a hun…
