Nice place for a view and a peaceful walk Apr 25, 2012
We left the little harbor to take a look at the fort that we had passed on the way down the harbor. The Fort L’Olive was not that big and signs indicated that it was not taken care of by any. After a few stairs down from the road you entered the fort via a stone gate that was beautifully covered with yellow flowers.

The view from the fort was really great; there was both a view towards a part of the northern coast and also the islands that were situated south of the point.

The fort was built of grey granite stones and the design was focused on the enemy coming from the water, as there was higher ground just behind the fort. It consisted of stonewalls and green fields. There were a couple of wooden houses in the compound; members of an embroidery organization that were selling their products from the house occupied one of the houses. I felt no need to look at their exhibition but said good day to the two elderly women who where there.
