Fort Collins Vacation Guide

In 2006, Money ranked Fort Collins as the best place to live in America, proclaiming that "great schools, low crime, good jobs in a high-tech economy and a fantastic outdoor life make Fort Collins No. 1."

Fort Collins continues to grow in population at a measured pace, with competition from other development in northern Colorado, debate over future growth patterns and tensions between students and homeowners emerging as dominant local issues in the early 21st century.

Fort Collins is home to CSU so the North side of town tends to attract college age people, a fun night life and lots of old town shopping. The south side of town has more open space, trails and family life. Fort collins is one of the safest towns in Colorado.

Farther north and east. Today was really just a driving day. About three hundred miles from Grand Junction to Fort Collins, Colorado.  We did get to go through a very famous area called Glenwood Springs, where they built a new highway through a very narrow canyon, and did it without destroyi…
