well last weekend was my only weekend home in awhile...spent labor day over in Eastern Oregon, Heppner to spend time with my new nephew. Saw the Big Horn Sheep in the Columbia River Gorge, took the Scenic route to visit some of the waterfalls and watched the sunset from crown point on the way…

We found the Manitou Lodge online using a Google search, and it looked
very warm and cozy. The real thing turned out to be just as nice as
we'd hoped. The main room was warm and inviting, with music playing
and a fire in the fireplace. The gift shop has lots of Pacifc

Yes it rains a bit but when you see a fern the size of a VW and the fireweed of fall and flowers of spring- you realize it's nature at her finest!
