Magnificent Marilyn Statue Jul 17, 2011
Marilyn Monroe's famous pose from 1955 Billy Wilder film has now been designed by an artist named Seward Johnson. Her statue broke news in Chicago on July 15th, 2011. She was introduced to the public, and now has had many viewers such as myself to come see & hear what all the hype is about. Yes it was worth it and no cost to anyone, just your own photography and time. She is only going to be in the city of Chicago for an year and then relocating to another city. Getting your own photo of her is almost impossible with everyone coming out to see her. She stands pretty tall and lovely as in the real life movie she poses identical too. If you plan on driving down here you will have a great amount of time to pull up and view the statue. There wasn't anyone out there stopping people from getting out their vehicles or parking for a brief time. Photos are greatly encouraged, and video as well. So another great event you don't want to miss out on, especially since she is only with us for a little bit. Don't let the time pass you by, and if you are walking this journey on the "magnificent mile" please bring comfortable sneakers or good sandals during this season.

Why can't I comment on your profile? There is no comment box.

I somehow didn't like the Marilyn statue on Michigan Avenue. It doesn't match with the character of the old buildings there. I like MM and I like Mag mile but don't like them mixing together.
