Forest Capitol State Park Feb 04, 2017
The Forest Capital Museum State Park is a 13 acre park that describes the importance of the forest industry to the economy of the state of Florida in the 1800s, and to the country. Emphasis is given to the Longleaf Pines and the 5000+ products produced from the trees, the wildlife that live in the forests, and the lives of the men and women that lived and worked in the forests. The parks facilities include an informative museum and the "Cracker House". Admission is $2 for adults and FREE for children 5 and under. I got in free as a disabled veteran. Hours are 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM and 5 PM Thursday through Monday. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
