Restaurant Standard but Hawker Price LUNCH DELIVERIES Oct 31, 2009
I'm working at Orchard Road Paragon Shopping Centre and I like to call for LUNCH DELIVERIES. Where I don’t have to go out in the hot or raining midday and stay in the comfort of office. Very tasty seafood Tom Yum. The prawns are deveined (feels like at home) and fresh at all time. They use healthy olive oil. Have it at least two times a week. Best when I got hang-over from previous night drinking session. You might like to give her a try - Mrs. Tan (81802024). $6 only and they serve only with brown rice @additional $1. Sometimes they have seafood spaghetti too. @$6.5 only. No place in town can get such restaurant standard but hawker price. My children love it when I packet home for them.Honey Grilled Chicken with Green/Potato Salad @ $6.50
Sweet & Sour Fish/Chicken with Brown rice @ $6.50 Fish & bake potato @ $6.50 Freshly Squeeze Fruit Juice/s @ $3 10oz cup Also yummy Orchard Plaza #04-02 Claypot Delights Mdm Lim's store. Nice and consider value for money at orchard area. |

In Singapore there are many ethinic varities of food available. There is Indian to French, Italian to Malay food and Chinese. As well as all your normal fast food outlets like Mac Donalds, KFC and Pizza Hut plus more.
For a great cheap option I recommend checking out the Hawker centres which can be found everywhere the meals normally cost around $3 or more. As well as food courts you will normally find these in the Basement of shopping malls and because they are air conditioned the food will be a little more expensive than the hawker centres but still very reasonable. For a nice cheap meal check out one of the following : Adam Road Food Center This hawker center was recently upgraded. With a new facade and more parking space, it is very popular with lunch time crowds. More than 50% of the stalls serve Malay or Indian food. Good Nasi Goreng, Roti Prata, western food can be found here. Do not miss the BBQ seafood and the famous Nasi Lemak stall! Location: Junction of Dunearn Road and Adam Road. Chomp Chomp Food Center Located at Serangoon Garden, this hawker center was recently upgraded. Wide variety of food at a reasonable price. Many stalls from the Botanic Garden hawker center had migrated here. Location: Serangoon Garden. Lau Pa Sat Food Center Lau Pa Sat is the largest remaining Victorian filigree cast-iron structure in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of Singapore's business district, it is a favorite meeting place of the locals. Built in 1894, Lau Pa Sat was a wet market and has now been restored and converted into a food centre offering a wide variety of local food. Location: Boon Tat Street, Shenton Way, Robinson Road. Getting There: Take the MRT to Raffles Place Station (EW14) and walk towards Robinson Road. Newton Circus Food Center The most well known hawker center in Singapore. If you are a seafood lover, do not miss this place, lots of BBQ seafood stalls can be found here. There are also many variety of food, including Hokkien Prawn Noodles, Fish Porridge, Chicken Rice and many more. Location: Newton Circus, entrance at Cavenagh Road. Getting There: Take the MRT to Newton Station (NS21). Zion Road Riverview Food Center People working around Orchard and Great World City usually drive or walk to this hawker center for lunch. You can find a wide variety of food here. Location: Zion Road, directly opposite Great World City. Orchard Hawker Food Square. Location: along Orchard Road Enjoy some great Singapore cuisine.:) Part of the Singapore and Ria Bintan Island travel blog |

food. Once the food was unloaded, a guy from the ferry company helped wheel it in to the waiting area on a cart, which was nice. At this point I’m really confused because people are running around yelling everywhere and moving boxes… Singapore! |

I am loving my food here (of course yong tau foo and chicken rice as my staple). Yong Tau Foo has been my symbol for Singapore, not Merlion and definitely not Sentosa. :) Yong tau foo is essentially a clear soup containing a varied selection of food items including fish… Loving Yong Tau Foo in SG Again |

We made a couple monkey friends that would do tricks for us in exchange for food. One about 50 meters back kept making eye contact with Kevin, doing a backflip, and then waiting for food. It repeated this over and over and over. I also had a friend in the front that would just stare at me and whenver… Did that monkey just do a backflip? |
