I guess one of the top 'inquiries' of a traveler is any native food specialty originated from his travel destination! So, here are only some (more to come) delicious meals coming from some of the Greek islands (named into the brackets):
Matsata (Folegandros): Wide handmade pasta, usually cooked with rooster or rabbit
Froutalia (Andros): Omelette with fried potatoes and traditional sausage
Lampriano (Astypalaia): Goat meat filled with rice and little livers
Poutza (Astypalaia): Little cheese pies with honey
Savori (Lefkada): Fried bogue fishes dipped in a sauce made of vinegar, rosemary and flour
Bourdeto (Corfu): White fish (usually tope) with garlic, leek and white wine
Posa (Nisyros): Goat cheese sheltered into red wine
Garidaki (Symi): Cooked little shrimps
