Often I'll observe visitors to Capitol Hill--groups, families, individuals--looking for somewhere to find an inexpensive, familiar, and quick place to eat. The food court at Union Station is an easy alternative to the resaturants along Independence and Pennsylvania Avenues.

At Union Station, the Washington visitor will find a wide variety of places, from familiar fast food brands to more unfamiliar food stalls to cafes. McDonalds is here along with Boardwalk Fries, Frank & Stein, New York Deli, and Starbucks. But there is also Panda Rice Bowl, Kabuki Sushi, and Aditi Indian Kitchen for something different than the typical mall fare. Au Bon Pain, Johnny Rocket's, and Sbarro round out the offerings.

If you want something fast and familiar during your Washington visit, this is the place!
