On a rainy September day we took the regional train to Fontainebleau. Then, because the palace is located in the town centre, we took a local bus into town. We did a little bit of window shopping in the commercial area but, as it was Sunday, most stores were closed although they did have a very busy farmer's market. Weekend trips around Europe

A 1 week trip to some of the lesser known places in Germany with two great friends. This trip was inspired by a rock bottom plane ticket to Cologne, Germany. Since this was in February, we were able to plan most of the trip as we went along.

Our last few days in Paris were fantastic. We went to the Moulin Rouge and saw the show and drank champagne. What a spectacular. The sets and costumes were magnificent and so over the top.
