Follonica(my dear hometown)is such a modern town(it was born in early 1800 for ironworker factory where iron from Elba island was worked).It's also a sea resort and the biggest gulf in Tuscany.Some monuments of my town are connected with this iron history :"Gate of cast iron"(entrance of ex-ilva area,old factory zone,where there are 2 old foundries,a musuem and clock tower);"S.Leopoldo Church"(built 1838 in honour of Leopoldo II Asburgo-Lorena,Duke of Tuscany,also it has cast iron decorations);"Piazza del popolo" on the sea,or just a walk on the beach.
It's not a big town,relaxing and calm.

The Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy), also simply known as the Giro, is a long distance road bicycle racing stage race for professional cyclists held over three weeks in May or early June in and around Italy. It is, after the Tour de France, one of the most important stage races in the world.The first edition was in 1909,and it's organized by Gazzetta Dello sport(main paper of sport),in fact the t-shirt of stage's winner is Pink,as newsprint of the paper.
