Best Grits in town Mar 19, 2011
this is my favorite place to eat breakfast if im craving grits. Their Creamy Dreamy Grits are the best around and the rest of the food stands up as well. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner but breakfast is the best. They are famous for there biscuits but i believe the grits are what it should be known for. Check out this quaint atlanta Favorite.

Mouthwatering Biscuits & Grits in Candler Park Oct 22, 2010
Candler Park is the original location for this quickly spreading Atlanta chain. Known throughout Atlanta for its all day breakfast, it specializes in mouthwatering biscuits, as the name suggests, served with the house special cranberry apple butter. Ingredients are fresh with a focus on organic.

Other Southern delicacies include incredibly creamy grits, great signature chicken sausage or turkey bacon, and amazing oatmeal pancakes. The lunch & dinner menu features southern fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, and some non-traditional dishes like scrambled tofu or coconut rice. There are also vegetarian options. Make sure you try the Atlanta special – Coca-Cola BBQ Glazed Salmon.

The atmosphere at the Candler Park location is bright yet cozy, with three separate dining areas. In addition to the full menu, they offer a full bar.

The restaurant anchors the southeast corner of the Candler Park Commercial District. This one block commercial district features numerous shops, other restaurants, and a dog friendly park a few blocks west of the restaurant – where one can bring take out biscuits for a picnic with your four legged friends.

The Flying Biscuit Cafe in Candler Park is close to eclectic Little Five Points and just minutes from downtown Atlanta and MARTA accessible.

Take advantage of the “Kids eat free” special from 4-7 pm Monday through Thursday.

Have you got pictures of the flying biscuits?
Do they come with tea on flying saucers?
Is Martha servicing this as well, and if so is she a flying fairy?
Did the time fly when you were there?
All those questions fly to my head reading this review.

This cafe has the most delicious (breakfast) food around. They use fresh ingredients and lots of organic, healthy and non-typical foods. Their whole wheat french toast with raspberry sauce is heavenly. They have oatmeal pancakes, chicken sausage, turkey bacon, goat cheese, spinach, hormone free-grass fed steak, salmon and black beans all on just their breakfast menu! The breakfast potatoes are delightfully seasoned with rosemary and the grits are superb in their creaminess. If you didn't think you liked grits, try theirs and you might change your mind! They are supposedly known for their famous biscuits, but I wasn't that impressed with the biscuits. I was too engrossed in the other flavors on my plate. Just for the record, I had the Egg-Stravaganza with two eggs, turkey bacon, chicken sausage, rosemary potatoes and the french toast. Yummy! I can't wait to go back!

They also serve lunch and dinner, but breakfast is served all day. Their sweet tea and coffee are also good. The service is friendly and the place fills up and often has a short waiting line around meal times.

Take a look at the menu on their website. It is different, but delicious! This cafe is one of the sought after stops of many visitors to Atlanta and has several locations in the city.

I love the Flying Biscuit! The Smoked Salmon scramble rocks. I'm with you on their biscuits not being too impressive, though. No biscuits can compare to Mom's.
