I have been on a little quest to visit as many baseball stadiums as I can. Since Shea Stadium is in it's last season, I could not miss out on a visit. I had scouted the Mets schedule and found a 12:10pm game for Thursday August 7, that would be perfect!
We flew from Indianapolis to New York(LGA) at 7:30am on a Northwest DC-9 aircraft. We arrived into LGA at 9:30am and had some breakfast in the airport. We then headed outside to catch the…

So, this is my hometown and my favorite place. It's truly unique, from the amazing hot dog aroma to the crazy people, like the Naked Cowboy, to the best shopping on earth! This is my New York :-)

This was my first and only visit to Shea Stadium. And I would get to meet up with a TravBuddy. I would take the day off from work, since I felt like this was my best chance to see the stadium. I got an early start, taking SEPTA and NJ Transit, from Philly to NY's Penn Station. Then I decided to take the Long Island Railroad to Shea Stadium, since it was faster. I wanted to get there early enough, to look around and take pictures. The train was faster than subway, and I got there in …

14. OctoberThe best hotel I lived in around the trip were the Buenas Vista Plaza & Spa in Walt Disney Resort and Marriot Woodcliff, the Hilton Woodcliff I lived in yesterday was so so... Whatever, I've spent a stressful day today. It's really disaster to find a parking place inside NYC, especially on Sunday or some special events with roadblocks... It's also crazy to spend 15$/hour for the parking, with 15$ can park for 10 hours in Stuttgart. It was very nice to meet my primary school teacher a…

Brandon and I rode the train up to Times Square with Amanda and her friends then we went over to the 7 train and headed out to Queens to get another baseball stadium out of the way for Brandon. The train ride was nice... as we were riding Brandon asked me what the ship looking things were... well, we were looking at different things. I saw these 2 things that looked like rocket ships... but he was pointing to the saucers from the 1939 Worlds Fair! I looked at him, sort …

To commemerate the final season of baseball in the legendary Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium, I recently did a trip to see a day game at Yankee and that night was able to catch the Mets at Shea.
