SKYDIVING! What words to describe such an event!
So it is 5am and my sister Dorothy, my friend Derek, my friend Darien, and I set out to Sebastian, fl which is located on the east coast of South Florida. We are all in the car trying to relax, talking, and trying to settle our nerves with a million cigarettes! As we are driving we kept looking up in the Sky on that beautiful clear day at the scattered clouds. As I observe for a few moments I realize I will be freefalling from that…

Took an afternoon and visited one of my favorite places, the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville, Florida. It's part of the University of Florida and a fantastic experience for both young and old. :)

I stepped into a balmy but windy night at Tampa Airport, anxious for my half hour shuttle trip to the art deco district of Miami, South Beach.
I came prepared with the proper ammo of anticipation, excitement, and a keen desire to leave the last few months of my life in the dust. A perfect sanctuary here for my soul, a place for my spiritual reawakening. perhaps i wax too lyrical here, but I had been feeling the frustrating itch to travel since my return from Germany in May.&…

Well, rather then try to remember the details of the three times I went to the city this past summer, it be easier to summarize it. One trip was with my brother, dad and a few of his coworkers and their sons before my dad retired. We went deep-sea fishing for the day. It was the first time I EVER went fishing out in the ocean, and I can say I am looking forward to the next time. My brother caught a 40lbs Wahoo, the other kids caught a 13lbs dolphin (th…

This morning started with more academic games - LinguiSHtik and Propaganda. I was assigned to be a monitor for Propaganda, so I actually got to stay inside the competition room while the kids were playing. From what I've seen so far, the competitors are either really serious and know-it-all or they are laid-back and here just for a good time. Some of the kids had to justify each question and answer, which got rather annoying to me. It must be the teacher coming out in …

Finally, time to leave Canada! Feels so liberating to pack up and get ready to go. My parents drove the boys and I over to Detroit for our flight to Fort Lauderdale. There was a bit of re-packed needed at the airport, as some of the bags were overweight. My parents got sent home with a random collection of toys that had to be cut from the final pack :)
Travelling with two small children is actually not THAT bad. As long as you have a bit of money for help…

Please please take my advice on this, if you ever get the chance to go to Epcot take a full day, take two days. I unfortunately only had 1/2 day there and was rushed. There are not only rides but learning centers. Epcot gives you a glimpse into several different cultures; make sure you can spend some time there. I basically ran the length of the park trying to collect the souvenirs I'd promised but not really taking anything in. I won't make that mistake next time I go.

MIAMI IS NICE…..MIAMI S NICE!!!!! I passed out from LAX to MIA. I could not sleep from the night before. I was packing and doing last minute errands. I had to get up at 5am to be at the airport by 9am. I know it’s early but we were leaving to the day before THANKSGIVING, one of the busiest day of the holiday season in the airport and highways. We were also traveling during morning traffic towards downtown LA. I had about 5hrs sleep. I was still groggy. When we arrived at M…

I went to Florida to stay with my new found aunt.My uncle also travelled from Illinois to share the time with us.Although I had wanted a white Christmas this was still an extremely special experience for me.It was my first time in the USA and man do they know how to overdo Christmas celebrations.I was also pleasantly suprised with a visit to Disney world.Turns out that a cousin of mine is the chief horticulturist (garden designer) of the grounds and so we were treated like royalty. Had a 5sta…
