On the inbound journey from Coxumel, Mexico to Miami, Florida we spend a day at sea. I enjoyed the leisure’s of the Freedom of the Seas cruise vessel. I spend time in the pool and relaxed.    In the evening the Cruise Ship encountered some rainy and turbulent weather. To be honest I remember the little dark clouds and some light rain. The ship turned to a 40% angle and many of the passengers were afraid and headed to get the life jackets and ran from the rooms. I don’t rememb…

Permanent Change of Station leave.

Dec 24, 2007
After about three years of living in Germany for work, my time is finally up. I flew to my parents house on the 24th of December just in time to make it home for Christmas and all of the food that comes with it. But being at home for the holidays wasn't the best part of my trip, it was being able to see my daughter again for the first time in almost seven months. So with that being said, I had to have some fun times planned for the two of us. On the 29th of December I had a friend fly to Al…

A weekend visit
posted by:
Aug 08, 2008
We decided it was time to visit friends and family in Miami, therefore we went for a weekend of fun and food. American Airlines was as messed up as usual and we ended up arriving 4 hours later than expected. Unfortunately if you fly out of San Juan, American Airlines is the one with more flights and destinations. Saturday morning we had some details to take care, then we started visiting friends. We were taken to a BBQ place that is located at 8 and one hundred sixty something??. The fo…

Miami, Florida, USA -› -› ...
It is not a form of agrandisement, we just call the area where Miami is located, The Greater Miami and Beaches.  Miami is actually a rather small city, but it has plenty of satelites that make it  ... Greater!!!  Those include the posh Coral Gables, the bohemian Coconut Grove, the over the top glamourous Bal Harbour , the nuveau-riches (more or less) Aventura, and the new Trump-esque Sunny Isles, between many others.  We even have areas that will soon achive independe…

Well we've done it.  We braved London for three months and arrived home in relatively good condition.  Our trip is over, and as I sit in MY bed on MY computer in MY house I can't help but appreciate it all so much more.  Privacy at last!  :DBut I will miss it.  This was the experience of a lifetime.  And I really enjoyed sharing it with everyone here, reading all the comments and getting to know others through their journals as well.  <3 for London and fo…

When one thinks of trains at Disney, the immediate image is probably that of the train ride circling the Magic Kingdom park at Disneyland or Disney World. A loop train ride was one of the original rides at Disneyland in 1955. It's thought that Walt Disney was inspired to build Disneyland by his visits to Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI, and the 1948 Chicago Railroad Fair. A prominent feature of both was an antique themed train ride that took visitors to different parts of the par…

This is North Miami area. about 20 minutes away from SoBe. The beach is less crowded and i think is prettier. Also, the Aventura Mall has all the stores and a big food court. There also plenty of restarants around the mall: Cheesecake Factory, PF changs, Macaronni Grill, Olive Garden and many others.
