A SHORT OLD SCHOOL  HISTORY LESSON of BUSCH GARDENS of TAMPA, FLORIDA  In 1965, Busch Gardens introduced the gigantic Serengeti Plain, allowing the African animals to roam freely, much like the Animals of Old School do  in Gibsonton, Florida.  The Serengeti Plain became the largest, free-roaming habitat outside of Africa. In 1977, the corkscrew roller coaster, The Python, opened.   Four years later, Busch Gardens introduced the classic loopin…

i have already arrived in Ft Lauderdale from Miami..... I have checked in at the Sheraton Yankee Trader for my last Floridian night. I had so many things to do before returning home..... I needed to get into the salty Atlantic Ocean.  For this whole trip, I had not yet been to the beach, yes....I did go snorkeling a few days past, but never was I able to touch the sand.  I had to get a bit darker....I wanted a tan.  This would be so that I could really say I went on a vacati…

Our last day in Orlando:(((( We'd pretty much seen most of Disney World by now but we had one last day to use our tickets. We'd already checked our bags in that morning so we had 8 hours to mill around. We went back to the Animal Kingdom to try to get on the Everest ride again. But it seemed like all the kids were off school again so we just couldn't be bothered. It was still a really nice day so to kill some time we went to one of the crazy golf places they have on site. We had plenty of time on Saturday morning before the ship could be boarded. So, we drove the short distance back to Coca Beach for another look. The rest of the family had not seen the beach itself and wanted to see it. We parked and walked over to one of the access paths. An airplace flew low over the beach with trailing advertising streamers for swimwear. (Buy one, get one free!) The beach was not crowded at all, which surprised me. I’m sitting at gate C-39, in Denver International Airport waiting for our flight at 10:35, an hour and 40 minutes from now. My wife has done the majority of the planning and leg work on this vacation.
