From Gulfport, Mississipi we headed on east and into Alabama. Mobile’s Hist...

On Miami Beach blue skies, parks, palm trees, colorful street life and art deco buildings combine with a tourist phenomenon that is, as best as I can describe it, Vegas, beach side. Ocean Drive, with its traffic of convertibles and hummer limousines is lined with such a plethora of bars harboring semi clad dancing girls and bikini contests that one begins to ruminate at length on the very likely existence of a vast behind the scenes infrastructure of Scarface style gangsters engaged in less t...

I like big butts and I can not lie You other TravBuddy’s can't deny Sir Mix-a-Lot's (Anthoney Ray) best-known song is the Miami Bass styled song "Baby Got Back" (1992), a number one hit that won him fame and the 1993 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. The single has since been parodied many times and is usually played in irony, celebrated for its over-the-top nature. A hook from the title song of his 1988 release Swass is finding a new audience wit...

We rented a kayak and went out on the water for a few hours in search of a manatee. All we found were a couple of iguanas and a condom floating in the water! Sick!!

Some random thoughts about Sunrise & Mornings some that are very different than Old School Bill's.
" SUNRISE IS the BEST PART OF THE DAY"
If you're going to do something tonight that you'll be sorry for tomorrow morning, sleep late. ~Henny Youngman

...By now, some members of our crew had dispersed...off to expell bodily fluids, aquire food, take refuge in the nearby backstage campgrounds, and otherwise reassemble their internal psychic elements. Eventually it started feeling less like Phish was perfoming a musical concert for our benefit, and more like we were all subsumed together into a giant, pulsing, organic mass, propelled by the sounds and lights coming from onstage. People were living, breathing, sleeping, just *existing*... as t...

Two of my Favorite Things!!
SunRise is when the 1st part of the sun as it appears from the East over Old School Gibsonton ,Florida. This is not Dawn with or without Tony Orlando. Because of atmospheric refraction sunrise & sunsets are optical illusions. That’s Ok there are many things that are Not Real but are very nice to look at, wink wink nod nod! Two of my Favorite Things!!

While I was sitting at the airport waiting for my once again delayed flight, I reflected on my short stay in Sarasota. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the city. I had no expectations, but I actually loved the deserted beaches, warm ocean water, and shopping in Tamiami. I would highly recommend the city for a vacation now!

Back in the summer of 2002 I made the biggest move of my life (at that time, anyway, haha). I packed up everything I owned into my small Chevy Cavalier and drove, by myself, across the country (from Oregon-Florida), in pursuit of my life long dream. Ever since I was a kid I had always wanted to work in entertainment at the Walt Disney World Resort, and after driving over 3000 miles in only 3 1/2 days I finally arrived at my destination. My first summer at the "World" I worked at t...
