A couple of friends and I decide to drive from Rome through the Italian and French Rivera and end our jouney in Paris. In less than a week. What a ride!

We arrived in Florence and set out to find our hostel. Not an easy task. We eventually ended up taking a taxi (good thing because we never would have found it ourselves). We stayed at Ostello Santa Monaca. It was really nice, as were the people there. We went to the Duomo and walked up the 600 and some odd steps to the top (its a lot of stairs, but the view is worth it). I studied for four months in florence in the spring of 2005. it was absolutely amazing. i love that city so much. i also made some of my best friends while over there.
